Microsoft SA awards partners

Held in November 2012, Microsoft recognised its leading partners at its annual Partner Network Awards gala dinner in  Johannesburg.

Gijima was the biggest winner on the night, taking home six awards, including Desktop Partner of the Year, Unified Communications Partner of the Year and Public Sector Partner of the Year.

The other big winners were Intervate and Karabina Business Technology Systems, who both walked away with five awards, with Karabina also winning the coveted Managing Director’s award for Partner of the Year.

The finalists in the nearly 30 categories were chosen from hundreds of entries submitted by partners across the country, and the winners were selected on their dedicated use of Microsoft technologies to provide solutions for their customers’ needs.

Other notable winners were FOXit, Dimension Data, and Global Micro Solutions.

CTU Training Solutions scooped the Microsoft Gold Learning Partner of the Year Award.

Said Munir Kundakci, head of the SMB solutions and partners at Microsoft SA says: “The high standard of entries received for the awards demonstrates clearly that our partners are delivering real business solutions to our customers through tight economic times and tremendous change.”
